Here is a brief interview with one of the Record Journalists about the recent attack on the record, our community newspaper.

The DOS (dean of students) office was under pressure from the president of Antioch, Steven Lawry. The DOS approached the record on behalf of Steve's personal objection to our community newspaper's content. In his 6 months at Antioch he's missed many community meetings, and launched a campaign to change campus culture, a culture that many of us feel he refuses to understand.

Amnesty International and V-day organizers joined with thousands of activists in a procession across the El Paso border into Juarez, Mexico to bring attention to the kidnappings and murders perpetrated against hundreds of young women there. The entire community is terrorized by the femicide that has been ongoing for over 10 years.

This is Saturday Night Vegan Cuisine. A weekly collaborative cooking project at Antioch College. We put together meals from scratch, anything w/out animal products. Building collective team skills is mostly the point...but, we get some really good food also. It started in Fall 2oo3 in the "presidents" dorm. Participation has ranged from four to thirty people...depends on the term, the circumstances, and the amount of energy put into it. Basically, just bring a vegetable and we'll provide the pots, pans, spices, and basefood (rice, potatoes, pasta).

This movie is amazing. A friend passed it on to me a few years ago. I don't know how she got it because it's a pretty rare animation short. I tried to order it one time online but I don't speak German language. Anyways, I'm very happy to be able to share this online with y'all and I hope you enjoy it.
Its an animation short about a bunch of rocks who sit on the edge of a hill going about their business. They're experiencing in terms of geological time and so they watch the entire growth of industrial civilization happen around them starting with the invention of the wheel. After watching it a bunch of times, I saw more and more details I didn't recognize the first time. Anyways, its a very interesting short and so be it. Farewell.

In the spirit of Coretta, once an Antioch Student, we produced a video about Antioch's pending RDPP (Racial Discrimination Prevention Policy). Passing the RDPP would be an act that would institutionalize values of Anti-racism in the Antioch Community.
